From the time I was in middle school I loved to read. I have always had in interest in writing and after losing my job in the corporate world in 2002 I decided to take classes from the Institute of Children's Literature and then advanced to the Longridge Writers Group.

Since then I have written nonfiction, short stories, and novels (not published yet) for both children and adults.

I work part time for the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce where I do the press releases on their special events like the Gladstone Summertime Bluesfest where my articles have been published in the Gladstone Dispatch and the KC Studio Magazine and The Gladstone Magazine.

I am active in Gladfest, Gladstone's fall festive as a Chairperson for the Little Mr. and Miss Pageant and the Master of Ceremonies. My articles for Gladfest have been published in the Gladstone Dispatch.

My short stories have been published in two anthologies for children and in January of 2018 my nonfiction book, Everything You Need to Know About Sexual Assault came out from Rosen Publishing.

In April 9, 2019, my short story, Time for that Walk went on sale in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Life Lessons from the Dog.

I have done several writer's workshops at school visits and enjoy working with the kids.

I live in Gladstone, MO with my husband and daughter along with Daisy, our Beagle mix, and a stray cat named Bob that has adopted us because we took pity and fed him.
